Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas

The Northern Kentucky Tea Party wishes everyone a very Merry Christmas. Such a great time of year, visiting with family and friends reminiscing about the past and looking forward to the future. Some of us dealt with difficulties this past year, some are still dealing with them but with Christmas and thinking about the birth of Jesus you can look past these things for a little while and focus on the Joy of the season.

Help is Needed

The Liberty movement in Washington needs your help. This came to me from another liberty group and we need to get involved;

Good afternoon, EHCA Friends,
We need to message President Trump that we support him standing strong on the temporary shut down of a small fraction of the government!!

Word is his own advisors are telling him to fold. We CAN'T let that happen. That is what happened to H.W. Bush when he violated his "no new taxes" pledge.

We need a huge volume of tweets and Facebook posts praising Trump for standing tall and shutting down the government.
It is extremely important to have at least some new money in this budget resolution even if there's a small compromise on the amount.  This will hugely affect the future of the illegal immigration debate.

You can tweet your support of the President to Sarah Sanders @PressSec  and to Trump himself @realdonaldtrump.

Call the White House 202-456-1111. Thank President Trump for standing up and tell him not to cave!

I would add that we also need to contact our U.S. Senators and U.S. House Representatives to encourage them also. Thank those who are supportive of our Security and Freedom and tell the others that we want our laws obeyed and followed. Even if you are not in their district, they still represent Kentucky so tell them how you feel about the issue.

December and January Meetings

Boone, Kenton and Campbell County meeting for Wednesday December 11th, 2018 is cancelled because we had to give up the room at PeeWee’s for another event.

Grant County meeting on Thursday December 20th, 2018 will take place as usual at the Toyota dealership in Dry Ridge. It is the annual Christmas Party so bring a covered dish to share if you plan to attend.

Boone, Kenton and Campbell will resume our meetings in January at PeeWee’s on January 9th at 6 PM. Grant County will continue to meet on the 3rd Thursday at Dry Ridge Toyota in 2019.

By then the 2019 Legislative 30-day Session will begin so we will have a lot of information on bills that were pre-filled and are now moving through the process in Frankfurt. Be sure to sign onto the LRC Bill Watch page to follow all the bills that are listed as BR### now and will change to SB### or HB### when they get to work.

Changes are coming to the LRC, it has always operated as an independent source for information on bills, writing bills for the legislators and keeping us informed on the movement of legislation through the process. Not anymore, the top Senate and House Republican members have fired the head of LRC and put their chief of staff in charge. It will no longer be independent form politics and I’m sure there will be changes made to the reporting of votes to the public.

The All County meetings will resume on January 24th at the Holiday Inn in Florence, 7:00 PM.

This year's Champions include the founder of Campaign for Liberty and former US Representative from Texas, none other than the world famous, Ron Paul. Joining Ron Paul on stage will be other nationally recognized leaders of the liberty movement including Governor Matt Bevin, Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton, US Representatives Thomas Massie, Warren Davidson, Justin Amash and the next Speaker of the House, Jim Jordan. Visit AlignAmerica.com for the full calendar of events.
