At last week’s meeting, we had the great privilege of hearing Dr. Douglas Frank, the world-renowned physicist and mathematician from Ohio who discovered the algorithm used by apparent election hackers in the 2020 election. He not only knows his stuff, but he is one of those rare folks who can communicate with ease and clarity to those of us who don’t have physics degrees. The slideshow detailed how the election was stolen and then he offered important advice on what to do to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
Centralized electronic records are hackable. We need to return to paper poll books, where every registered voter is validated annually.
Mail in votes are hackable. We need single-day, in-person elections, with photo ID and signature required.
Machines are hackable. We need hand counting of ballots and votes. Machine confirmation is fine. (Like a bank teller counting a deposit.)
Dr. Frank is working with teams across the country promoting election transparency and system reform.
