The Rand Paul incident at the Nashville airport shows how despotic and idiotic TSA policy has become. Under the US Constitution Article I Section 6 Congressmen can't be detained or even questioned while traveling to or from the Capitol. If the TSA feels that they can do things expressly forbidden by the constitution it is no wonder that they do not respect the civil rights of the average person. The need for probable cause etc. seems to be totally ignored. Senator Paul has been trying to get some reforms in the TSA policy for some time. The random selection of people for full body searches seems to be uncalled for, and illegal under our constitution. Since Senator Paul is on a committee dealing with the TSA, maybe he should call for a hearing on this behavior.
