Lewis County Judge Executive Thomas Massie is speaking at the Kenton County Tea Party at 6:00PM, Wednesday, January 25 at PeeWee's Restaurant in Crescent Springs.
Thomas Massie is a candidate for the seat of retiring 4th District Representative Geoff Davis and the first candidate for this seat to visit the Kenton Tea. Judge Massie has an engineering and business background and was recognized by Geoff Davis on the House Floor in a speech Geoff gave on the value of education, engineering and job creation. Joining candidate Massie as Campaign Manger is Ryan Hogan who resigned his position with Senator Rand Paul's staff to work full time for candidate Massie.
The NKY Tea strives to educate voters on the issues and the candidates and encourages you to do your homework prior to attending the meeting at PeeWees by visiting Candidate Massie's website, www.thomasmassie.com. Each county group within the Northern Kentucky Tea Party is inviting all candidates to attend and present their vision of the role of government and to answer questions from the attendees. The Tea meetings are open to everyone interested in limited government, free markets and fiscal responsibility. The Northern Kentucky Tea Party is also planning a Candidate Forum for Saturday, April 28. |

The growth of the Tea Party is largely fueled by misguided leadership within the Republican and Democratic parties. Four years ago many of us were asleep when the Democrats nominated and the people elected a socialist to the White House. Then the Republicans promoted, passed and continue to defend legislation that authorizes the President to use the military to indefinitely detain US citizens that he determines are terrorists.
If you are a Tea Party regular you understand what is happening to our freedoms. Bring a friend to a meeting and help them catch up on federal, state and local politics. In the next meeting of the Kenton Tea we will discuss how to get involved in your local Republican party and return it to the party of limited government, free markets and fiscal responsibility. Democrats must also reorganize and return their party to American principals. Attend this meeting and connect with other like minded individuals. Wednesday, January 11, PeeWee's...see you there! |

The Kenton Tea Party meeting on Wednesday, Dec 7 at PeeWee's Restaurant, 519 Enterprise Drive, Crescent Springs, KY. The meeting is presented to educate those wanting to learn about options to change the current tax system. The discussions about our tax system have increased since Herman Cain proposed the 9-9-9 plan. The meeting starts at 6:00PM and ends at 7:30PM. Many people arrive early, 5:30PM and order off the menu or stay after the meeting to socialize. Bios of the presenters from the Kentucky Fair Tax organization, http://fairtaxky.org/ are presented below.
What is the FairTax plan?
The FairTax plan is a comprehensive proposal that replaces all federal income and payroll based taxes with an integrated approach including a progressive national retail sales tax, a prebate to ensure no American pays federal taxes on spending up to the poverty level, dollar-for-dollar federal revenue neutrality, and, through companion legislation, the repeal of the 16th Amendment. The FairTax Act (HR 25, S 13) is nonpartisan legislation.
