Stand up for your Private Property Rights!
by Legate Damar
For several years, the Northern Kentucky Area Planning Commission (NKAPC) staff, and their handlers, including Covington Mayor Sherry Carran, Covington City Manager Larry Klein, Crestview Hills Mayor Paul Meier, Lakeside Park Mayor Dave Jansing, Edgewood City Administrator Doug Beckham, Crescent Springs Mayor Jim Collett, Crescent Springs Councilman Tom Vergamini and others (we can call them the Communist Cabal), supported by Communist Cabal attorney Garry Edmondson, who recently told the Kenton County Tea Party, at a meeting, that the Constitution really doesn’t matter, have collectively spearheaded an effort to crush private property rights, and push a centralized planning model – centralized planning that they control. Kentuckian Makes Stand Against Common Core
by Steve Shreeve
On Monday June 10th, the Kentucky Interim Joint Committee on Education gathered to discuss Common Core and was met with need resistance. Stand up for the Libraries!
by Legate Damar
The Enquirer continues to be the biggest cheerleader for the libraries in Northern Kentucky by publishing articles exhorting the residents to support them (NKY needs its libraries, 2013). The articles went so far as to recommend a petition drive and pressure lawmakers into supporting the libraries (Stand up for your libraries, 2013).
Campbell County Circuit Court Judge Julie Reinhardt Ward ruled in April that the Campbell County library district had been using the wrong law since 1979 to set its tax rate. Kenton Circuit Court Judge Patricia Summe issued a similar decision a week later, and 79 county libraries around Kentucky are awaiting an appeal by the two libraries to the Kentucky Supreme Court (NKY needs its libraries, 2013).
